*[[ My dog lover neighbour ]]*

Slept around 4.30am on a Saturday night. Spotted my neighbour walking past around 2.30am and saw her cleaning up a dog carrier with a stray inside.

I went out to talk to her. Yes at 2.30am and my dear sweetie Ms Pepper is not cooperating as she wanted her fair share of going out at the wee hours too so she started barking frantically. Got to bribe her with treats and raw hide instead to keep her busy.

Finally got to talk to my neighbour who looked kind of drained and exhausted. She told me that she was out feeding the strays after work and she does this everyday. She also rents a boarding house at Pasir Ris for her 50 strays at $2k per month alone! Initially there were only a few puppies, but soon she got worried for the bitches so she took it in as well, and soon the number continues to increase on. She shares the costs with her sister and they also went around bringing female strays dogs to the vet to spay.

She and her sister show such humanistic regard for dogs and are so full of compassion. I have definately great admiration for them!

She is not so active in doing rehoming for the strays anymore because there were a lot of ridiculous and insincere people around like asking her for golden retriever!?!

Once she did a home visit of a dog which was rehome to a landed property. Guess what she saw. The dog was placed inside a empty fish tank! The owner don't want the dog to be around peeing or dugging the garden. Even indicated that the dog should count itself lucky enough to be staying in a landed property! OMG! What a total brute airhead ower

She was furious and took back the dog immediately. She rather have the strays staying in a safe and happy environment if the strays cannot be rehome rather than suffering in some idiots heartless place.

Recently I read at the doggiesite forum and someone was posting saying that while in East point, there was this couple who brought a Sheltie puppy for their children. When the puppy was out, the children kicked it around and laughed while the parents just stood there like morons without saying anything with the maid. The poor puppy was running away from them to find a place to hide. When the sales people tried to stop them, the parents was furious and scolded the sales people saying that it was their birthday present.

If there is really such a thing call Karma, please do work your magic on them.

The children are not to be blame, but the parents are.

That's all, folks! ^_^
