FROM May 1, going to the movies will cost more at Shaw, Eng Wah and Golden Village cinemas, but not at Overseas Movies and Cathay screens. Shaw Organisation, Eng Wah Organisation and Golden Village (GV) will raise weekday prices by 50 cents and weekend prices by $1.
Currently, tickets cost about $6 to $7 on weekdays and $8 to $8.50 on weekends. After May 1, prices will range from $6.50 to $9.50.
